Thinking About Thinking
I’m still learning about the design and operation of this blog. Currently new posts are at the bottom of this page. I am hoping that soon they will appear inside one of the six topics under “The Power of Thought.” All posts are simply the ideas I have been thinking about. One of the most common phrases I hear is “I didn’t think”. So these are my thoughts and if they allow you to muse or think there will be double blessing.

The Power of Thought
Conscious choices help move individuals and societies to greater levels of service and inclusiveness. While these two objectives may not be embraced by all they are used by the most liberal and conservative organizations as they form the basis for making progress.
Thinking about Politics
If you live in BC, Saskatchewan or New Brunswick your are in the midst of provincial elections. Whether we like it or not, we are all trapped in a system that involves politics. Luckily we have both the power and the choice of how this works. For a time this section will be focused on thinking about the process of democracy and how to help to make our system of governance work.
Thinking about what doesn’t work
It is wonderful to have grand ideas of how things c/should be. However it is often helpful to begin with what isn’t working so that our changes enhance the good while reprograming the lesser.
Thinking about who gets left out
No matte how hard we try we are incapable of including everyone and everything. The key to sanity is knowing what and why are leaving things out.
Thinking about spirituality
We are now at the point that there are very few institutions that are seen as worthy of respect and adherence. Yet, the may still be a place for spiritual practice in our post denominational world.
Thinking about meaningful change
If you are thinking about the ideas in the first four boxes, you will have become aware of your frustrations regarding the pace of change. There is a simple and profound starting point to ground into your being.
Thinking about building better
I have dreams and visions of the better world I would like to live in. I’m beginning to think of these ideas rather than simply letting them float in my head and heart.
“A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.”
